Review: Holiday Cards from Minted

We are officially “The Leonardos”.

I (Chandra) failed terribly at updating this blog during the wedding process and continued to fail at updating post wedding nuptials. The big day came and went (09/08/12) and I am happy. I realized that I am not one for wedding planning. Without the help of my friend, Fabian, I would have thrown in the towel in June and hightailed it to Vegas. Thankfully things went well, we’re married now, and I’ll feature our wedding pics in January.

After Thanksgiving we I struggled with whether or not we should send out Christmas cards. Brandon told me the decision was mine. I knew that if we were going to send out cards I wanted them to have a picture of us and I wanted it to be a wedding photo. Our wedding photos aren’t scheduled to be finished until late December, so I figured that holiday cards were out of the question.

Then I saw this blog post by my favorite blogger–I KNEW that we had to get our cards from Minted! After emailing our wedding photographer, he agreed to edit some of our photos and send some our way for our holiday cards.

Brandon ended up selecting this photo:

I selected this card from Minted and here’s our final result:

Will we order from Minted again? Yes! And here’s why:

1. They are currently offering free address labeling (it’s in beta mode). That meant ZERO handwriting for me.

2. Minted also offers their trademarked Skinny Wrap labels; the thin label featured our return address on the front of the card and Merry Christmas! on the back of the card. You can edit the label.

3. Lightening SPEED shipping! We placed our order Sunday afternoon, we were emailed a proof the following day, and received our cards on Wednesday. Of course I found coupon codes prior to placing my order, so I had free shipping and 15% off our total order.

4. After we got our 25 cards I placed an order for more cards. That process was also simple. After logging in I was able to review my last order, click the reorder option, and my reordered cards arrived 2 days later. Note: when reordering cards you won’t have the option for the address labeling. Reorders go straight to the printer.

We had an stellar experience with Minted and can’t wait to use their services again! They offer a variety of cards and for many occasions.

If you join now, Minted will give you $25 toward your first purchase of $50 or more! You can use my referral link here

  1. I’ve been hearing more and more about Minted lately. Looks like they’re going to gain the same level of popularity as Shutterfly when it comes to ordering stationery. I love your and Brandon’s choice of Christmas card! This is totally stalker-ish of me to take notice of… but I didn’t know you live in San Jose now!

    • I was actually considering Shutterfly until I read Mint Love Social Club and saw the cards she reviewed! Thanks, Kara! (Oh, yep! San Jose. I’m still attempting to get used to city life!)
